Jackie Shroff as the main villain was apt and he played his role with integrity. The emotions shown in the second half are very good and give the film a complete boost.
Last but not least, AR Rahman's music and BGM is a huge advantage for the film. He has taken the film to another level with BGM which is emotional and adrenaline pumping.

One of the biggest drawbacks of the film is its story which is quite old. The first half of the film is quite slow and Atlee takes a long time to get into the main story. The film is a rehearsal of several sports dramas in the past and a lot of large scale and commercial angles have been added to make the film relatable. Vijay's thrill and mass elements are good, but it takes a lot of time.
It is only during the interval pont that the film becomes clear and its real agenda is shown. The second part is very predictable as all the football matches and adventures have been featured in Bollywood movies before.
Decision :
Bigil is an extraordinary film. Vijay is the perfect film for his fans, especially the rappan character Vijay played with a terrific performance. Also the action appears in the first half. The romance scenes between Vijay and Nayantara worked well. Yogi Babu belongs to another level of hos timing dialogue, which helped a lot.
Second Half is a completely different film, but it doesn't seem so when you watch a sports drama. Brilliantly visualized by every football movement and victory by Vijay. Every girl took her role to another level. The stories of Anita and another girl are truly inspiring. An extraordinary dialogue delivery by VJ in the climax speech gave us a fart. Finally an extraordinary film dedicated exclusively to all women in Indian society. Amazing message delivered by Attlee.
Overall, Bigil is an emotional sports drama film. Which will surely appeal to the Tamil audience as it has relatable emotions, Vijay's screen presence and all the necessary collective elements. But for the general audience, the film ends up as a good watch.
